As a native Chicagoan, I grew up playing pond ice hockey and roller hockey in the parks of Chicago. These informal pick-up games eventually led me to organized youth travel hockey, first playing as a goalie and then as a forward. Throughout my teen years, I played for the Chicago All-Stars, a travel hockey team, which won two successive state championships. I was fortunate to be the leading point scorer in the state my first year with the team.
I continued to play hockey throughout my adult years, playing on many A level teams in Chicago and then in Florida when I moved to Tampa in 1990.
I am a certified Level 4 USA Hockey Coach, and will be attending the Level 5 coaching symposium in 2007. I have coached all ages from mites through midgets.
I work in the aviation industry and own Avparts Network, a company which sells aviation parts for corporate aircraft. I reside in Tampa with my wife Jeanette and our two children, Roberto and Maria.
